I ordered a Silhouette machine a couple months ago and have not put it to as much use as I would like but trust me I have great plans for this nifty little machine. More on that later...
I did however tackle a much needed sign for outside my store. It's actually been up a few weeks now so I'm sorry I didn't share sooner but I really am quite proud of how it turned out! I even went so far as to attache real gingham fabric for the seat. What do you think?
Now I'm on the hunt for a real live chair to match my logo. Doesn't need to be pretty just have the same structure and style. Let me know if you come across one.

my space | Union Jack Dresser
Do you remember I was starting a redo of my bathroom?
#2 on the list...my Bedroom!!! I'm in the purge the old and search for inspiration stage at this point so here's hoping no serious issues pop up to deter this project. Fingers crossed...
Besides that I had no real direction so when I stumbled upon this amazing dresser over at Miss Mustard Seed I immediatley knew what my inspiration would be...
Well I did start in on it with some paint and purging then much to my dismay I discovered a gap in my shower surround (which may have to be totally replaced) and the pipe under my sink decided to come loose causing water damage to my vanity not to mention the need to replace the pipes! Uggh! So much for a simple facelift! Sooooo....onto something a little less burdensome until my handyman father is able to assist.

Anyway, I have two red antique pieces (one I just scored a week ago and will share soon!) I love and want to use plus I was thinking about maybe painting my headboard a deep midnight blue.
Is that beautiful or what?!? I am in love with this dresser! And the most exciting thing it that I have one almost this exact shape with a mirror on top that needs refinishing.
Now back to looking for inspiration...

Sew Busy
I've had three custom orders for drapes this month so I've been busy at my sewing machine creating panels and valances of all shapes and sizes.
The first order was actually for a dear friend who had a bare and rather large window in her dining room that needed attention. She picked out a beautiful black and ivory damask which was the perfect accent for her rich red walls and masculine dining set.
I set to tackling the longest set of drapes I've ever done and thankfully they came out as beautiful as she had hoped. She's adding a gorgeous rug and some art on the walls but dosen't her room look great so far?
